About the event
The Maddalena Di Giacomo Foundation was conceived in Venice, within the piano nobile of Palazzo Valier, as a house of intangible heritage dedicated to the dialogue between art, memory, and sensory perception. Founded and directed by Alexandra Mazzanti, the Foundation expands the cultural legacy of Maddalena Di Giacomo through the project of the Petit Musée de la Femme: an intimate and layered collection intertwining female portraiture, portrait miniatures, sentimental jewelry, antique perfume flacons, and artworks spanning from the 17th century to contemporary practices.
More than a traditional museum, the Foundation presents itself as a living time capsule, where past and present coexist within an immersive narrative devoted to emotional memory and the invisible traces left by human experience. Each space embodies its own sensory and symbolic identity, transforming the visit into a journey through images, sounds, scents, tactile elements, and perceptual suggestions.
