Volunteers Wanted

We'd love for you to join us and help shape AIWAV and contribute to its success.  

 

We are a small association with big ambitions. An active team of members keep the organisation running smoothly, and a dedicated group of hosts make sure enjoyable experiences happen every week. ​But we need more help. Please let us know if you're interested or just want to find out more.

Leadership

Currently there are two vital Leadership Team roles open. The Secretary role is a key organising and administration role. If you don't already have a good base of knowledge with the tools we use we can support you to learn the ropes. 

​

Membership is the other role which is greatly aided by the automation now provided by Wix. This role is more interpersonal but also ensures no one is slipping through the gaps for either contact or information.

The current Leadership Team was elected in June 2025 so there is only one year to run until the next elections in spring 2027. You can be nominated again for these roles at that time. 

​

Secretary 

  • Scheduling regular meetings for leadership and other groups as required. 

  • Creating an agenda for meetings and taking minutes. Publishing minutes as required. 

  • Communicating to members as required (overlap/collaboration with membership and events). Helping other roles keep on top of their schedules. 

  • Ensures resources used by leadership are up to date and functioning properly. This could include email accounts, passwords, storage drives etc. 

  • Creates and produces any useful official Comms as required in conjunction with President and Vice president e.g. FAQs

Membership

  • Communication with ongoing members to ensure they feel included and know what's going on. Email, WhatsApp and website and at in person events. 

  • Ensuring members have paid and are entered into the database correctly. 

  • Communicating new year subs due and chasing for payment. Updating  database. 

  • Paying attention to any exceptional memberships. 

  • Shape or generate and keep up to date, text and material to promote the club including for socials, fliers, website or links to forms. 

  • Administration including collecting contact details. Deleting members and their access when they leave club. 

  • Communication with potential members to get them to come to a meeting and follow up.

Groups

We need volunteers to run our groups. You can help run an existing group or start a new one.

Comms Support

We are growing and we need help telling everyone about the great things we're doing.  We'd also like to encourage participation and build our resources.

​

There are opportunities to speak to different audiences and through different channels.  As well as the newsletter and website, AIWAV has channels on Facebook and Instagram.  We do not have an active outreach program or a page on sites like LinkedIn and Internations. 

Events

The events person dreams up, schedules and runs a range of events for the membership including the big annual event to raise funds for future initiatives and our Causes.

The role can be customised to the desires of the volunteer but includes working with the Leadership team on the monthly aperitivo and organising a longer and more involved day event once every two months. 

​

Future events include a Hot Spa Day and a Christmas Market Trip. Past events included a day in Prosecco country and a vetro a lume experience.
