About the event
The Giorgio Morandi Library was opened as a dedicated research center at Palazzo Franchetti in 2022. Its holding of monographs, rare and signed publications, and exhibition catalogs is built from years of study on the artist. The library also offers reading spaces where visitors can view original Morandi etchings, drawings, and watercolors alongside works by contemporary artists inspired by him. François Xavier Saint Pierre has been chosen as one of the contemporary artists to exhibit in this special place.
For his exhibition, One Tenth (24/9-31/10), Francois has produced a limited edition silkscreen featuring the Signum motif that appears in a series of paintings and directly recalls the tondo format of several of Giorgio Morandi’s etchings. The print is available to members at the studio price of 400€ until the show opens.
