The post detailing the plans for the leadership structure for the club going forward can be found below. To help facilitate the process and give regular updates, member Amy Tobias has kindly volunteered to step forward and administer the comms and voting process.
The current leadership greatly appreciate her offer to help. More info to follow, particularly in the What's App groups. All comments and suggestions are welcome from members at this stage. It's your club.

Many thanks to the members, new, old and prospective who came along to the latest AIWAV meeting at the beginning of April. It was a squally night so it was gratifying to see, at final count, seventeen people sitting around the table at the Flying Dutchman (Osteria L'Olandese Volante). This was also after a last minute change of venue so well done to everyone who found us both at the bar and earlier at the Fondaco Dei Tedeschi.
The club welcomed four new members and once again, it was humbling to hear all the different stories of how and why our members have made their home in Venice - the most recent being two and a half weeks ago and the longest, more than thirty. It might be nice to do a series of posts one day that document these magical journeys. The photos below were taken before everyone arrived but the mood depicted continued throughout the evening - even if various people ended up sitting in the chair with the permanent drip from the umbrella above! Hopefully it will be warmer and sunnier in May. Belated congratulations to member Rochelle who celebrated her marriage to Cristian in March. Fellow members Toma and Julia were present and report that it was a joyful occasion celebrating two people very much in love. Personally, I adore that blue dress! (Laura). AIWAV is looking forward to catching up with Rochelle when she is back in town to hear all the news.
